Pre-Arrival Bootcamp
GSE’s pre-arrival training ‘bootcamp’ ensures that visiting students, teachers and group leaders are fully prepared for their time in the UK, enabling them to thrive during their in-school programme.
Students who complete our pre-arrival training are more engaged, and well prepped in order to succeed while in the UK.
Learning Objectives
- To prepare for a safe and enjoyable programme
- To be able to understand school & and homestay rules
- To consider the similarities and differences between education in the UK & in your home country
- To be aware of health & safety precautions
- To be able to understand and use key language with confidence: Academic English & Everyday English
- To develop communication strategies for effective collaboration & team work
- To develop personal goals for your programme
